Justin Monroe

Research Associate, Technical Advisor for NOAA/NSSL HWT Experimental Warning Program

I currently work under the Warning Research and Development Division of CIWRO/NSSL as a technical advisor for the NOAA/NSSL Hazardous Weather Testbed (HWT) Experimental Warning Program (EWP). The primary focus of my work is to ensure that EWP experiments within the HWT run smoothly by meeting the software, hardware, and data product needs of experiment principal investigators. These experiments typically focus on the improvement of National Weather Service (NWS) forecast operations during the warning timeframe by allowing NWS forecasters to utilize experimental data products within AWIPS II for both real-time and simulated weather events.
