Edwin Dunnavan

Research Scientist II

My work at CIWRO involves the development of radar algorithms and basic research involving polarimetric radars, in situ aircraft measurements, and microphysical modeling. I have helped produce research-grade radar products for WSR-88D Radar Product Improvements initiatives. I've also produced a number of publications involving the study and understanding of snow microphysics, radar retrievals, and radar data quality. I'm particularly interested in understanding the shape of snowflakes and how polarimetric radars can be used to enhance predictions of surface precipitation rates.
