Dale Morris

Senior Research Associate

I manage and help design and support the Weather Event Simulator, which is a training platform used throughout the National Weather Service (NWS) by forecasters to develop, enhance, and maintain skills and expertise related to science, technology and human factors involved in creating hazardous weather warnings and forecasts. Besides maintaining required proficiency in the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), the WSR-88D (NEXRAD) radar and other related systems, I assist the NWS Warning Decision Training Division in training all NWS forecasters across the United States.
