Carrie Langston

Research Associate III

Carrie is part of the Multi-Radar Multi-Sensor (MRMS) development team at NSSL. She is responsible for the implementation of research code into operational environments with an emphasis on algorithms related to quantitative precipitation estimates (QPEs). Her job duties include working with CIWRO and federal researchers to develop scientific algorithms that can operate in real time, working with NCEP Central Operations to maintain and improve the operational MRMS system, maintaining NSSL’s experimental MRMS system, and performing basic research and development for future versions of MRMS.
