Post-Doctoral Research Associate
Currently, my research utilizes small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) for daily measurements of temperature, moisture, and wind velocity in the lower boundary layer. The meteorological profile data collected by the sUAS is processed and transmitted (within ~5 min) to the local National Weather Service forecasting office. This work aims to integrate sUAS meteorological measurements in near real-time to improve weather forecasts.
