Sarah Borg

Research Associate (WDTD)

As a CIWRO graduate student at OU, my research involved the effects of radiation, specifically cloud radiative effects, on Tropopause Polar Vortices (TPVs) and their evolution. I am currently in the process of publishing results from that work, which I hope to have out by the end of 2020. Now, as a CIWRO employee with the Warning Decision Training Division, I am not as involved in research but have more of a focus on operations training. I have had a large role in the training for a new software in the National Weather Service called Hazard Services, which will replace other legacy applications for sending warnings to the public. I am also involved in the creation of training content for WDTDs other courses, which relate to severe weather warning operations and human factors in warning operations.
