Greg McFarquhar

Director of CIWRO, Professor of the OU School of Meteorology

As the director of CIWRO, Greg works with CIWRO scientists and associates to promote collaborative research between NOAA and OU scientists on projects of mutual interest, to improve basic understanding of mesoscale meteorological phenomena, weather radar, and regional climate to help produce better forecasts and warnings that will save lives and properties. His personal research projects are centered on improving our knowledge of the microphysical properties of clouds, and hence the representation of cloud processes in weather and Earth system models. His resposibilities pertaining to CIWRO and his personal work are further described on his website.
