Taylor Maciag

Research Associate

I am a member of CIWRO/NSSL’s Behavioral Insights Unit, and I have a background in both meteorology and geography. My research focuses on how end-users (emergency managers, public, etc.) interpret and use weather information, including testbed research with future technologies in NOAA’s Hazardous Weather Testbed, and in post-event fieldwork studies. My fieldwork experience involves engaging with a variety of decision makers including emergency managers, forecasters, and the general public, to understand communication processes before, during, and after severe weather events.
