CIMMS employees who contributed to the Multi-Radar Multi-Sensor project, which was awarded the Department of Commerce Silver Medal in July, received recognition for their efforts from CIMMS Acting Director Randy Peppler. Each contributor was given an engraved award commemorating their work on the project.
Collaborators with NOAA’s National Severe Storms Laboratory received their awards at the second Gab at the Lab celebration on December 11, 2015.
There were also several CIMMS scientists who were involved with the project through NOAA’s Warning Decision Training Division, which develops and delivers training to NOAA’s National Weather Service. Jill Hardy, Matt Taraldsen, Andy Wood, Chris Spannagle, and Alyssa Bates were recognized. Those in attendance were presented with their awards this morning. Congratulations, all!
