CIMMS Scientist Heather Reeves, a researcher with NOAA’s National Severe Storms Laboratory, received an award for her service to the American Meteorological Society at the organization’s 17th Conference on Mountain Meteorology. The conference was held June 27 – July 1, 2016, in Burlington, Vermont, and featured groundbreaking research related to orographic weather phenomena. Heather was honored for her work in initiating and organizing a webinar series on mountain meteorology. The webinar series aimed to support more frequent discussion and collaboration between researchers and forecasters, with presentations that were part instructional and part conference-style. Congratulations, Heather!
