CIMMS’ Sebastian Torres has accepted an offer to serve as an associate editor for the American Meteorological Society’s Journal of Atmospheric and Oceanic Technology. His appointment is effective immediately and runs through December 31, 2017.
JTECH publishes research related to instrumentation and methods used in atmospheric and oceanic research. Topics include remote sensing, data analysis techniques, in situ instruments, and information systems. Authors submit articles up to 7500 words in length, which are subject to a peer-review process prior to publication.
Torres was selected as an editor for his proven expertise and quality reviews. “Despite the extra work coming my way, I’m pretty thrilled with this opportunity and the recognition it conveys,” he said.
