Range-and-Velocity Ambiguity Mitigation Reports

The goal of range-and-velocity ambiguity mitigation is to reduce obscuration (“purple haze”) and Doppler velocity errors.  Solutions include implementation of the Staggered PRT (SPRT) algorithm, optimization of the existing phase coding (SZ-2) algorithm, and the design of scanning strategies that exploit both.  This will improve the ability to detect severe weather, flash floods, winter storms, and provide aviation forecasts.
